On the afternoon of August 2, 2019, the "Friendly Little Ambassadors" series of youth international exchange activities initiated and hosted by the China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries(CSC) and Ansheng International successfully held at the Embassy of the United States of Mexico in China. 

Mexico, as one of the ancient cultural centers of American Indians, once gave birth to the Maya culture and Olmec culture of the world civilization. As the most populous country in the Spanish-speaking world and the second most populous country in Latin America, relying on rich natural resources and modern industry and agriculture, Mexico is known as "the hometown of corn", "the country of cactus", "the country floating in the oil sea" and other reputations.

During the activity, Ms. Tania Lara, head of culture and press of the Embassy of the United States of Mexico in China, and the staff of the embassy introduced the national conditions, culture and local characteristics of Mexico to the little ambassadors, and prepared interesting Mexican children's games and beautiful gifts.By interacting with Ms. Tania, the children are no longer learning about Mexico from books, but are more engaged, truly understanding and experiencing the true charm of Mexico.

During the Q&A session, the Chinese little ambassadors put their minds to the test and asked many interesting questions, such as "Is cactus edible?".In addition, the little ambassador consulted Ms. Tania about the patterns and meanings on the Mexican flag, Mexican special food, Mexican currency and other issues. Through face-to-face communication with Ms. Tania, they deepened their understanding of Mexico and looked forward to going to Mexico with their families in the near future.

In the talent show, our Chinese children brought the diplomats wonderful performance, the Chinese Peking Opera "Ode to Pear flower", the traditional song "View the Sea", the solo of erhu and Zhong Ruan, which attracted the applause and praise from the scene."Ten minutes on the stage, ten years of work off the stage", the children's short performance can not only show the diplomats our traditional Chinese art, but also a great opportunity for the performers to increase their confidence, accumulate international stage experience and improve their performance.

With this series of activities, Chinese young people can improve their personal quality, comprehensive quality, international outlook and world outlook, so as to contribute to the future development of China's diplomacy.
