On the morning of June 29th, 2023, the China-Mongolia Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum was successfully held in Beijing. Chairperson Yang Tingting was invited to attend as a representative.

Chen Jian’an, Vice President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, presided over the forum and delivered a welcoming speech

Chen Jian’an said that China and Mongolia are friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, good neighbors who help each other, good partners for mutual benefit and win-win results, and good friends who visit each other frequently. The two sides have their respective strengths in industrial structure and resource endowment, and are complementary to each other in economy with huge potential for economic and trade cooperation. It is hoped that the two sides will seize the opportunity to synergize their development strategies, expand bilateral trade and deepen investment cooperation. As a national trade and investment promotion institution, CCPIT is willing to make greater contributions to promoting economic and trade exchanges between the two countries and welcomes Mongolia to attend the first China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo and other activities.

The Prime Minister of Mongolia said that China is an important leader and economic driver in the world, and Mongolia is willing to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with China on the basis of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. Mongolia welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Mongolia and hopes to push for practical results in cooperation between enterprises of the two sides in energy, science and technology, infrastructure and green development as soon as possible.

At the forum, Mongolian Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry J. Ganbaatar, Minister of Transport and Development Byambatsogt and other officials delivered a speech at the symposium, and representatives from more than 300 Chinese enterprises from mining, construction, trade, tourism, transportation, animal husbandry and other representatives of more than 100 visiting Mongolian enterprises held one-on-one negotiations. The forum, co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, falls on the birthday of Prime Minister Oyun Erden, further creating a warm atmosphere for cooperation at the scene. About 500 people, including government officials, business people and media representatives of the two countries, attended the event.
