On September 22nd, 2023, Emassy of the Dominican Republic held the ‘Dominican Expedience - Tasting Exquisite Products from the Dominican Republic’ event in Beijing. Chairperson YANG Tingting and CEO ZHANG Liqiang presented at the event.

H.E. Ambassador Mr. Briunny Garabito emphasized the four exquisite products from Dominica which are handmade cigars, rum, coffee, and organic cocoa. A display and experience of the mentioned products were arranged at the event, and H.E. Ambassador was inviting guests to taste the unique products from Dominica. Officials from the Embassy gave performances and local songs to the audience, creating a lively atmosphere that made people feel like they were in this highly charming country.

In 2022, the bilateral trade volume between China and Dominica reached 4.838 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%. The total value of imported goods from Dominica reached 519 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 49.2%, and cocoa beans, tobacco, and tobacco products, displayed in the event, are the most exported products of Dominica.
