The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is for leaders of new economic powers to discuss key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets and the world as a whole. It has been called "Russia Davos". As the special guest of the Russian government, Chinese business delegations were organized by Secretary-general Yang Tingting to attend the forum for many consecutive sessions.

On the eve of the forum, President Xi Jinping attended a ceremony to receive an honorary doctorate from St. Petersburg State University in St. Petersburg. Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the ceremony.

Chinese entrepreneurs attended the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
During the interactive session, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Bulgarian President Radv, Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan, Slovak Prime Minister Roberto Peleglini, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and other leaders exchanged talks. President Xi Jinping also answered questions from the host of the plenum on anti-globalization, Belt and Road cooperation and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
On the sidelines of the Forum, Secretary General Yang Tingting and representatives of Chinese entrepreneurs visited Ms. Lea Alakelova, President of the Leningrad Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and held talks. Ms. Lilia Alakerova welcomed the visit of our delegation. She introduced the basic information, investment and trade policies of Leningrad Regional Chamber of Trade and Industry in detail. She sincerely hoped that Chinese enterprises would invest and start business, and expressed her willingness to do a good job for the exchange visits, trade and investment of enterprises between the two countries.
During the discussion, the meeting with the Chinese business delegation was introduced. She pointed out that she hoped to build a bridge of communication between Chinese and Russian entrepreneurs through this forum, further strengthen the ties in the future, and broaden the channels for the overseas development of enterprises of the two countries.
At the symposium, representatives of Chinese entrepreneurs also made speeches and brief introductions on the main business of the company, hoping to find cooperation opportunities.
Ms. Lia Alakairova presented the Medal of China-Russia Friendship to Ms. Yang Tingting, the representative of the entrepreneurs.
Subsequently, the entrepreneurs' representatives visited Russian government agencies, local enterprises and participated in a number of special activities marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Russia.
