On Dec 11,2020, his Excellency Ambassador Jose Santiago Romana led the delegation from the Embassy, accompanied by leaders from relevant departments such as China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries, Shaanxi People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Xi 'an Municipal Committee of Foreign Affairs, Xi 'an Municipal Education Bureau and representatives from Chinese and Philippine enterprises, visited Xi'an Railway Vocational & Technical Institute, after attending the China-Philippines International Economy Trade and Culture Exchange Forum. And held discussions on vocational education exchanges and cooperation in the field of rail transit between China and the Philippines.

The delegation from the Philippine Embassy in China visited the training room of the Traction Power Institute and experienced the simulated driving. Ambassador Romana expressed his sincere appreciation to the college for its professional development in rail transit and practical training facilities.

Later, Ambassador Romana and his delegation held talks with the leaders of the Xi'an Railway Vocational & Technical Institute. Ambassador Romana thanked the college for its warm reception and gave a brief introduction to the development of rail transit and vocational education in the Philippines. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the overseas education of rail transit majors, the training of foreign students in China, and had full discussions on how to promote China-Philippines vocational education cooperation and jointly cultivate high-quality rail transit technical and skilled personnel in the Philippines. Both sides look forward to the early implementation of multi-form cooperation in personnel training and education in the rail transit field.
