"Noah's Ark" -- a legendary story, believed by some to be real and doubted by others. On July 25, 2019, the China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries(CSC) and Ansheng International launched the "Friendly Little Ambassadors" event, which will lead a number of "Little Ambassadors" to have an in-depth understanding of the Republic of Armenia, known as the "Son of Noah".
Known as the "Son of Noah," the Republic of Armenia is a mountainous Country in Asia with an area of about 29,800 square kilometers and a population of less than three million. It is a landlocked country in the south of transcaucasia and Europe, bordering Turkey to the west, Iran to the south, Georgia to the north and Azerbaijan to the east. Along with Georgia and Azerbaijan, it is also known as the "foreign high three countries".
Mount Ararat, where Noah's ark is said to have docked, covers two-thirds of Armenia. According to legend, the good Noah spent 120 years building his ark before God's evil attack,which can accommodate a family of eight and all kinds of animals and birds. And 150 days after the flood flooded the world, the ark finally crashed into a towering mountain and stopped, which is a sacred mountain revered by Armenians as their spiritual home - Mount Ararat. The Armenians are often referred to as "Sons of Noah" because Mount Ararat was the last place where Noah's Ark touched down.
The event began with a speech by H.E. Sergei Manasarian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to China. "Behind every smiling face, there is a bright background from the history and civilization of the country it belongs to," he said in his address. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Armenia in 1992, with the joint efforts of the two countries, relations have been developing smoothly, economic and trade cooperation has been continuous, and cultural exchanges and cooperation have been conducted on many occasions. Under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations, all-round, multi-level and multi-field cooperation between China and Armenia will be further strengthened. Children are the future and hope of every country. The happy memories of our youth will become the purest driving force for the friendly development of our two countries in adulthood. Armenia welcomes more Chinese teenagers to come to know Armenia, feel Armenia and fall in love with Armenia.
"If you don't know history, you can't have a future." In the country introduction of Armenia, Mr. Kanomiyan, the Armenian diplomat in China, gave a detailed account of every beauty of Armenia. From history and culture to geographical features, from traditional features to national beliefs. But armenians are most proud of being called "Sons of Noah". Being a descendant of Noah is a source of great pride for every Armenian.
"More than ever, we need to understand this land of diversity and coexistence, and do a better job of realizing exchanges, mutual learning, diversity and inclusiveness among civilizations." In the following exchanges, the "Friendly Little Ambassadors" of friendship from China raised all their curiosity about this ancient and beautiful country of Armenia, and showed their well-prepared talents and gifts to the Armenian diplomats in China. The activity ended in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
At the end of the event, The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to China, H.E. Sergei Manassaryan, on behalf of the Embassy of Armenia to China, received a letter of thanks from the Chinese Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries for their contributions to the friendly foreign affairs activities between the two countries, and took a group photo with all the visiting "Friendly Little Ambassadors".
