Far out in the Mediterranean, there is a beautiful island country. Because of its unique location, it is often called the heart of the Mediterranean Sea.It is also called the back garden of Europe because of its picturesque scenery.It is Malta.

The Republic of Malta is located in southern Europe, adjacent to Italy, 90 kilometers south of Sicily, 284 kilometers east of Tunisia, 333 kilometers north of Libya, is an important transit point between Europe and Africa. In terms of military strategy, Malta, known as the "heart of the Mediterranean", has become a coveted place for military strategists as a naval base. Malta is also a world-famous tourist destination, known as the "back garden of Europe".

On July 30, 2019, in the "Friendly Little Ambassadors" activity initiated by China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries(CSC) and Ansheng International, many Chinese children walked into the Embassy of the Republic of Malta in China, and the Ambassador of Malta to China,led them to appreciate the charm of "the Heart of the Mediterranean".

Malta's ambassador to China is a very talkative diplomat.The event began with a friendly self-introduction by Mr. Ambassador. He introduced to the "Little Ambassadors" that he had been in China for many years and had been to many places in China.China is an ancient and magical country with a lot of amazing things. China's long history has accumulated profound cultural deposits, and numerous ethnic groups have also formed a rich and colorful national culture. He appreciates the excellent traditional Chinese culture very much.

Malta is one of the first European countries to establish diplomatic ties with China. In the spirit of building a community with a shared future for mankind, Malta has actively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative. In recent years, the cooperation with China in various fields has been increasingly deepened. I hope that in the future, China-Malaysia friendship will be profound and lasting.

During the activity, he introduced the local customs, history and culture of Malta to the visiting children in detail, and Malta is called "the heart of the Mediterranean Sea" because of its unique geographical position in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.He also answered in detail the questions which the "Little Ambassadors" were curious about Malta.The children also gave a wonderful talent show and prepared a beautiful gift for the ambassador.

After the event, H.E.Ambassador accepted the certificate of appreciation issued by the China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries, and fully affirmed the starting point of the event to deepen the friendship between the two countries based on the friendly development of youth diplomacy.
