In August 2023, Chairperson YANG Tingting and CEO ZHANG Liqiang was invited to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the BRICS Business Council. Organized by South African Tourism, and the BRICS Business Council, this event was attended by Ms. Busi Mabuza, chairperson of BRICS Business Council South Africa Chapter, Dr. Stavros Nicolaou, senior executive director of BRICS Business Council South Africa Chapter and Ms. Nomasonto Ndlovuthe Acting CEO of South African Tourism.

“South Africa was the birthplace of the BRICS Business Council and we brought together our respective business communities with the objective of creating a platform to strengthen business, trade, investment ties, travel and connections amongst business communities across the borders of our respective countries”, said BRICS Business Council Chairperson, Ms. Busi Mabuza. Established in 2013 in Durban, South Africa, BRICS Business Council has been making great contribution to the mutilateral economic cooperation among member countries, and their enterprises from a wide range of sectors have been enjoying benefits from BRICS cooperation.

The organizers arranged original traditional South African singing and dancing performances, and presented unique South African handicrafts, traditional costumes and fashion items, giving the invited guests a chance to experience the characteristics and charm of South African culture.
