On February 7, 2025, Embassy of the Republic of Colombia held the reception  to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia in Beijing. Colombia Ambassador to China Sergio Cabrera Cárdenas, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Latin American Affairs Qiu Xiaoqi attended and addressed the reception. Ansheng International’s Chairperson YANG Tingting and CEO ZHANG Liqiang were invited to the reception.

Colombian Ambassador Mr. Cabrera reviewed the achievements in the development of Colombia-China relations, and reiterated that the Colombian side is ready to work with the Chinese side to further strengthen high-level exchanges between both countries, expand friendly cooperation and bring China-Colombia relations to a higher level.

Special Representative QIU Xiaoqi said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 45 years ago, the relationship between China and Colombia has made continuous progress and yielded fruitful results. In particular, in October 2023, the two countries established a strategic partnership, marking that China-Colombia relations entered a new era. China is ready to work with Colombia to deliver on the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, continuously enrich the China-Colombia strategic partnership, and jointly create an even better future for China-Colombia relations.
