On the evening of August 12, 2019, the theme concert of the 10th annual meeting of the China-Iran Friendship Association and China-Iran Friendship, hosted by Ansheng International, co-hosted by the China-Iran Friendship People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Iran-China Friendship People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the Iranian Embassy in China and supported by the China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries, was held in the Western Theater. The touching melody showed the long-term and profound friendship between China and Iran. Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Ms. Lin Yi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to China H.E.Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh and other relevant officials attended the event.
The "Raha" Santur Ensemble from Iran and the Chinese "Jasmine" Yangqin Ensemble gave wonderful performances to hundreds of Chinese and foreign audiences.
The Raha Santur Ensemble is formed by Professor Siamak Aghaei in 2016. This ensemble consists of 5 Santurs in different sizes as well as different pitch ranges. Santur in Iranian traditional music, specially in recent century, has played an important role as a soloist or a member of an ensemble with other instruments, but rarely as a group of only Santur players. This time, Professor Siamak Aghaei and several excellent performers brought the beautiful music "Persian Thoughts", "Suddenly Looking Back", "Past" and other songs to the audience, just like the sound of nature and fascinating.
"Jasmine" Ensemble is the first Yangqi ensemble in China that shouwcases classical Chinese and Western pieces in the form of ensemble. By now, the ensemble has visited 10 countries in Europe, Asia and North America, held a dozen concerts at home and abroad. In addition to this, the emsemble premiered a dozen originally-composed and arranged ensemble pieces, sharing Yangqi ensemble music with the world. The "Jasmine" ensemble performed several excellent songs, such as "Jasmine", "Silk Road. Jasmine" and "Lift up your veil". The music like a yellow warbler, went out of the valley, which attracted the audience's endless aftertaste.
At the end of the concert, Chinese"Jasmine" Yangqin Ensemple and Iranian "Raha" Santur Ensemple presented the audience with the ensemble piece "Rice Field". The clash and blend of the two countries' traditional instruments sounded perfect and harmony, liked the a thousand years of echoes along the Silk Road, which winning warm applause and praise from Chinese and foreign audiences.
This event not only shows the unique charm of the two countries' music, but also explores the unique culture of China and Iran with the help of music, opening a new chapter for the friendship and prosperity of China and Iran.
