Recently, the "Columbia Online Film Festival" was successfully held online, co-sponsored by the Embassy of the Republic of Colombia in China, the Consulate General of the Republic of Colombia in Shanghai, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Colombia in Guangzhou, HOME+ Our Theater, and Yizhan Network.

On the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties, the two countries held a number of online celebrations to avoid large crowds due to the outbreak of the pandemic.For this event, the Colombian Embassy in China has specially prepared three documentary films about environmental protection and local characteristics of Colombia, named Land of Water, Andaki's Path of Life and Cave for domestic audience to enjoy online.

During the event, not only the exhibition of Colombian artworks and reproductions collected by the embassy, but also the introduction of famous Colombian cultural and artistic celebrities opened a door for the Chinese audience to understand Colombian culture. It is hoped that through the holding of this event, more Chinese audiences can know about a distinctive and artistic Colombia.

This event was jointly initiated and produced by the Colombian Embassy in China and 'HOME+ Our Theater' international cultural exchange platform. Yizhan Network provided technical support. Consulate General of Colombia in Shanghai, Consulate General of Colombia in Guangzhou, International Film Festival for Middle School Students, Mofei Pictures, Bird Watch and other units also provided strong support for this event. It was viewed by more than 20,000 people over three days.
