In Mexico, Day of the Dead is an important festival. The celebration takes place on Novermber 1 and 2, coinciding with the Catholic holiday of All Saints' Day (Novermber 1) and All Souls' Day (Novermber 2). The tradition way to remember the deceased is to set up a private altar with sugar skeletons, marigolds and the deceased's favorite food, and take these items to the cemetery to pay tribute to the deceased.
