In August 2023, Chairperson Yang Tingting and CEO Zhang Liqiang were invited to attend the 2023 Energy Cooperation Forum, one of a series of sectoral meetings planned for the BRICS Trade Fair and the BRICS Business Council.

The theme of the Energy Cooperation Forum is “Powering Together: Enabling a Sustainable Energy Future”, and the discussion focused on policy, investment, technology, skills, capacity development, social development and environmental sustainability.

Panel discussions on the topic "Energy transition as a lever to alleviate poverty in developing countries" and energy masterclasses were provided for delegates to further demonstrate intuitive and practical understanding of the concepts covered by the knowledge content in the form of case studies.
