On the event of Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz’s visit to China, the Cuba embassy hosted the Cuba Tourism Forum in Beijing.  Prime Minister Mr. Marrero and Cuba Ambassador to China Mr. Carlos Miguel Pereira delivered keynote speeches. Chairperson Ms. YANG Tingting and CEO Mr. ZHANG liqiang were invited to the event.

Prime Minister Mr. Marrero did a presentation of the tourism resources and investment opportunities to the audience. He said, it is the priority to the Cuba government to promote economic and social development and tourism is the key industry in this progress. Cuba is rich in tourism resources and good facilities, and it eagerly welcome more Chinese tourists to visit Cuba and invest in the industry.

Besides, Prime Minister Mr. Marrero further disclosed that it is expected that direct flight between the two countries will be launched next year and the Cuba government is working on it. With such flight, it will be easier for tourists and businessmen to travel and trade, and have more cooperation on tourism.

Mr. Marrero was the Ministry of Tourism in the government and he has been attaching great importance to the tourism exchanges between Cuba and China. Cuba has nine World Heritage Sites, 227 iconic buildings, more than 200 well-developed beaches and 14 national parks. Its hospitable people welcome tourists to visit Cuba, a country with good transportation facilities, a safe social environment, and rich and colorful culture.
