On May 27, 2024, a delegation from Ansheng International was invited to visit the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba to discuss trade and investment cooperation with the country. The meeting was attended by Mr. Indira Hubon, Director of the Single Service Window for International Investment (VUINEX), and Ms. Lic Cindy Beatriz Guerra Casanova, officer from Asia and Oceania Commercial Policy Division.
Mr. Hubon gave an overall presentation on the foreign investment and relevant policies in Cuba. He said that Cuba has introduced more than 300 international companies in various industries which are mainly operating in the Mariel Special Economic Zone. Cuba has promulgated Law No. 118 and Decree No. 325 to encourage foreign investment and standardize relevant procedures, and it welcomes more Chinese companies to invest and prosper in Cuba during which VUINEX will provide one-stop services for foreign investors.

Ms. YANG Tingting said that Cuba was the first Latin American country to establish diplomatic relations with China, and it is China's second largest trading partner in the Caribbean region. Ansheng International is willing to respond positively to the call of the Chinese government and undertake the the Belt and Road Initiative so as to explore potential of cooperation with Cuba in the fields of renewable energy, pharmacy, agriculture, tourism and digital economy.
